Marinated Char-grilled Peaches

3-4 peaches
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup honey liqueur
2 star anise
2 tablespoons each: sugar, melted butter

 

Halve and stone the peaches.

 

Combine the orange juice, honey liqueur, star anise and sugar and bring to the boil.

 

Place the peaches on a grilling rack or ridged frying pan. Brush with the orange mixture.

 

Grill until slightly softened, turn and brush with the butter. Continue cooking for 1-2 minutes.

 

Great served with mascarpone or whipped cream. Serves 4-6.
