Tomato & Pineapple Relish

1.5kg plum tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cups cider vinegar
1 teaspoon chilli paste
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
440g can crushed pineapple
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 medium sized onion, diced

Combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan.

Bring to the boil then reduce the heat. Simmer for 2 hours, until reduced. Stir approximately every 20 minutes. Pour into hot sterilised jars. Seal when cold. Makes about 5 cups.
