1/2 cup flour
1 tablespoon powdered cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 cups dried fruit mix
l00g shredded suet
1 tablespoon marmalade
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon treacle
2 1/2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 tablespoons port

Sift the flour, cocoa and mixed spice into a bowl. Add the crumbs, sugar, fruit, suet and marmalade. Mix well with a fork. Stir in remaining ingredients. Mix well.

Spoon the mixture into a medium-sized greased pudding basin. Cover with plastic film. Make 2 slits in the film. Cook on high power for 5 minutes. Rest for 5 minutes, then cook a further 1-3 minutes.

This pudding may be kept refrigerated for several months. The warm pudding may be flamed with brandy. Serves 6-8.
